International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) Preparation
Personalized philosophy study and essay coaching for national selection and the IPO.
Introduction to Epistemology Camp
Personalized preparation for students aiming for national selection rounds or the International Philosophy Olympiad. Sessions combine serious philosophical study with the writing skills needed for the IPO essay. Students read short primary texts, discuss difficult arguments with a graduate-level philosophy instructor, and practise turning an unfamiliar quotation into a clear, original, well-structured paper. What we cover: • Interpreting philosophical quotations and choosing a strong line of argument • Building a precise thesis, roadmap, and clear section structure • Developing arguments, objections, and replies • Formal logic, validity, soundness, and argument reconstruction • Core topics across ethics, metaethics, epistemology, metaphysics, political philosophy, philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion, and Eastern philosophy • Timed outlines, full practice essays, and detailed individual feedback Lessons are adapted to the student’s experience, national competition, and timeline. Typical homework includes a short primary reading plus one to three essay outlines or a full practice paper. We help students refine theses, pressure-test arguments, find useful sources, and improve structure and reasoning. Students produce all final wording themselves. Available as private tutoring or a small-group program. Classes take place live online. Schedule and package are arranged after an initial consultation.
